Quick Update

Just a quick update. Had a busy weekend and hubby is working all day today and some of tonight, so I'm on the go.
Wanted to share some of my latest creations.

Playgroup

It is the first time this year that we made playgroup. The one morning we slept in (which doesn't happen often, so I didn't dare wake her up) and then last week we were all sick. But this morning I made the effor to get there.

Katie just LOVES playgroup, she is constantly squeeling and giggling, rushing around to make sure that she playes with every single little thing. The other parents always ALWAYS tell me that she is unique, as she is CONSTANTLY on the go, she just doesn't stop. They think it is adorable, I can tell you that sometimes I wish she would slow down, just for a while. But it is part of who she is, she born to be curious, she was born to not fancy sleeping lol.



I have been scrapping. Did this page of Katie at around 2 weeks old with her Uncle Rudi, who at that stage was still living with us. He loves her to bits and pieces, sometimes he doesn't 'get' that she is tiny and helpless lol, but he loves her loads and loads and spoils her way too much!


I did this LO for Charm and Karlene's 1,2,3 BLOG. They have a cybercrop on that is going for 10 days. This one was based on a sketch, paint and then an inspiration by a post she made.



Okay, I need to get some new gear loaded up into the store. Some Chatterbox Villa Room to upload today.

What a weekend

Well busy weekend here, Katie was at the doctors yesterday, she has got a throat infection and are on antibiotics, poor monkey.

I was busy scrapping for a cybercrop which of course was loads of fun. Did two of their challenges, this one below was based on a sketch.

And then this one was a doozy, had to use your school colours (mine was blue), the word 'learn' which is in my journalling and then something inspired by an apple (so I used the flowers which has three layers like an apple.)

And then they have a photo challenge, where you need to upload a photo of you at school age, this is me at grade one. Was amazed at how many people mention that they can see alot of Katie from me. Gotta love that of course.

Anyways, Katie is down for a nap and I have loads I want to get done. We have a new sofa arriving tomorrow, so we gotta get the old futon moved out into the spare room (which is also my store room), so need to do a bit of rearanging, can't wait to see what the sofa is going to look like though!

WOOHOO, it is Friday!!

Well first of all, at last I got to pick up my photo from Little Masterpiece Studio and how good was I ... I only got the free one, didn't buy any extra! So proud of myself. We did two sittings, one with her and a teddie bear and then this one below in the little fairy dress and wings.
Although i loved the simpler idea of the teddie bear, she was still shell shocked I think, so the photos really didn't look good at all. With her in the fairy dress, there were some gorgeous ones but me and happy both chose this one. So gorgeous! Can't wait to scrap it! Just don't know what paper to use??

Then I also got around to scrapping two LO's, this one below is of Katie and her 'Oupa' when they took her swimming on New Years Day, while me and hubby got to sleep in.
And this one, is our self portrait photo of valentines. How dodgy and difficult to take a photo of ourselves! All the other photos are horrid lol. So this one had to do. Had a bit of fun with this LO. This weekend? At the moment I'm soooo tired, and sitting with some coffee in my hands. I have been sick, Katie has been sick and hubby is sick, so last night Katie gave a few cries here and there and I'm SO not used to getting up at night anymore, so my eyes just wanna close lol. So I think a nice and relaxed weekend will be the way to go.

EXCITING NEWS!! The new BASIC GREY ranges are landing at our doorsteps next week. I can't wait to see them IRL. Soooooo exciting! I thought we would be waiting ages for them to arrive!

20 Layout No shopping Challenge

Well, over at Crafting In Style we have started a 20 LO no shopping challenge. I have SOOOO many papers that I am not touching so signed myself up. So I have to create 20 LO's before shopping. Seeing that the new CHA Basic Grey is arriving at my store next week, I have to hurry up lol.

So this is my number 1 LO done. From WAY back when Kim Archer had her christmas extravangza. So this is all her design, I just followed her directions, nice and quick and easy and it looks fab.

We had some rain here yesterday, but today the sun is shining and drying everything up again. I LOVE rain! So it is a pity we didn't get to have more of it!
Voting is on for the first DT round at my store. It is sooo exciting and I'm so glad I'm in 'the know'. Can just imagine how everyone is feeling waiting for the results!

Okay, I'm trying to scrap a lovey dovey LO which is just not coming together so let me go and fiddle before Miss K wakes up.

Cybercropping Away

Well our CC at Crafting In Style is going really well! Am missing a few ladies though ;)

I have managed to do a LO with the sketch challenge, we also had to use three diff pp from diff brands.

Made a nice and bright and colourful one. It has been a while since I used a LARGE photo on my LO, so I enjoyed that for a change too.

Been watching movies tonight, have dinner with hubby earlier. Katie is sleeping over at my parents so we have had a bit of a valentines celebration. Has been nice to relax, but I also do miss her very much.

New home for our store forum

Hi ladies,

Just a quick one. We have moved from our previous at home server to an upgraded hosting provider. That means that our forum should be faster!

As such we have changed our forum address. Our store is still on the same spot, but please update your records or favourite linkings to our forum

Have been busy creating. Just for fun! Which was nice. I have been using large 'normal' size photos of late because I got a deal where I got 50 free prints. So I gotta use them up and save some ink. I'm a self printer, I love sitting on the couch with my laptop on my lap and fiddle with the photo as much as I like. Pop into word, change the size of the page to 12" x 12" Position my photo/s where I want them, resize them till they work. Change back to A4 page and print them out. It is soooo easy, no driving, no waiting ;)

So that explains my use of large all the same size photos of late. Here are two more LO's to share with those photos.


Okay I'm off. Gotta go and pack shop things ;) and get a cybercrop organised.

Looks like all I'm doing lately is scrapping! But that is a good thing right? Was just saying to hubby that if Katie has 5 albums now and she is only 17 months old then what is it going to look like when she is 21? That is a worry!! But I'm loving it! So I'll worry about that problem when I get to it lol.

Pink and pink and pink

Sometimes I wonder WHY I buy anything that isn't pink as it seems all that I scrap lol. I do find now that she is growing up a bit that the colours are widening a bit, but pink is still my favourite.
