Last day of work before maternity leave woohoooo :)

Well I'm 35 weeks this week, c-section date hasn't been set yet, but I saw a midwive on Saturday and she said that the bub is def a good sized baby and they will be able to do the c-section at 38 weeks already EEEEEK! I'm soooooo excited to meet little Lily but OMG the nerves just kicked in right then and there!!

This weekend we popped over to the opening of a new park. Wasn't all that impressive for us adults, but Katie LOVED the free jumping castle and free face painting :)



And I have a few layouts I can share too. This one was actually featured in For Keeps Creative Paper last month I think. It was a pastel themed layout commission.


And two layouts from SnB's Cybercrop this weekend past :) This one was based on a sketch.


And this one had to have some sort of distressing on it :)


Have a happy week everyone! I have only ONE day of work left - Wednesday is officially my last day as Scrapbook Retail Assistant ... hopefully just for now, but am taking a good 6 month break for Lily :)

Quick updates and shares :)

Just another quick update :) First off more photos for all the family and friends that check out my blog to stay up to date :)


Katie has been enjoying her trampoline SOOOOO much!! So I had to snap these on there, at least she was sitting still for a few hehe.

Mega quick update today :)

I'm TIRED today, I had a fall over Katie's shoes last night, so ended up at the hospital for an hour while they checked on bubby, we only got back home at nearly 1am

Bubby is all good, midwife says she is an overactive little monkey I could have told her that with all the hours she is already keeping me awake at night.

Anyhows, so I'm all sore and ouchie today and just taking it easy!!

Of course Katie still got up at 6:45am today even though she was wide awake at the hospital and making sure the doctors are doing the right things to me, she is such a sweetie, but gosh she could have slept in just a little couldn't she haha.

Just answering a quick question from Lea about my photos - just wondering what settings you took these shots with, what settings you normally use and are you self taught or have you done any photography courses/study?"

Lea - all self taught, I would give ANYTHING to be able to go to a handson workshop/course or even just follow a professional photographer around.
I have a Nikon D70, all my latest photos of Katie has been taken with a 50mm f/2.8 lens which I'm just LOVING and I usually take my photos in Aperture mode, hopefully I can start playing with full manual, but at the moment I'm focusing on my aperture settings and getting my whitebalance right :) And of course they have also all been edited in Photoshop afterwards :)


I can see that we are getting some of the edgings of Cyclone Hamish today, very windy outside and occasional rain pours, hoping that everyone stays safe during this cyclone and that it stays on its path or buggers off to sea hey!

Well our new Dora Books arrived, so I have been 'told' to read them, I'm soooooo relieved they are here, cause I'm sick to death of the other ones which I have read WAY too many times haha :) We get the Scholastic delivery, so two new books each month and she is just enjoying them so much!!

Just some quick shares with a quick update from me :)

More photos from the weekend! Katie doing one of her favourite things, riding in mega fast circles on our small little outside cement area! She is such a sweetheart and since getting a puzzle from her 'Oupa and Ouma' from South Africa for Christmas, puzzle building has fast become a hot favourite, together with cutting with scissors, reading books, playing her kiddie boardgames and playing with the 'paint' program on computer :)




She has us in stitches the other day as she promptly announced: 'I soooo wish I could fly' and then she says 'I'm so sad cause my wings just don't work' LOL. Tooo funny.

She carries an imaginary kitten around all over the show who I need to pat and who she pops down for a sleep. And her best friend is her foot - NO KIDDING! Her foot has his own little voice and we hear things like 'Foot says NO too sleep' 'Foot says NO too bath', 'OH NO Foot is walking backwards' 'Foot is soooooo sad' and then she asks foot 'Why are you so sad? Don't be sad foot'. Totally bizarre, and yea it sounds like she needs friends, but honestly she goes to playgroup once a week and we do meet up with friends for playdates every now and then lol.

ANYWAYS, on another front, Stamp and Scrapbook Madness have just released their March kit, which is just full of gorgeous different bits and goodies!! I did up these three layouts in no time at all and still have loads of leftover bits!! The kits are AWESOME value and if you are a kit gal, I highly recommend you give them a go!! WOW, March Already??

How on earth did we get to March so quickly?? And why oh why is the summer still sticking around so intensely when it really should be Autumn?? This pregnant lady is DYING from the heat, it is sucking all my energy and leaving me feel tired, nauseaus and just feeling YUCK! :(


Less than two more months to go for me :) The C-Section date hasn't been set yet, but they have told me it will be happening in the last week of April :) Sooooo can't wait to meet this little bunny growing inside me :)


ALOT has been happening in my neck of the woods, alot that has taken a toll on me, some that I don't really feel like talking about as it is just tooo hard for now :( But if you have any warm fuzzy hugs to spare, this pregnant lady is desperately in need of some ;)

On a happy note though, I got onto an Australian Wholesaler DT - Addicted to Craft and I can't wait to get creating for them! They have some awesome plans in stall for this year and have already put us new DT gals to work :) They have also started a blog where the DT will share some tips, techniques and gorgeous creations! So make sure to pop it in your bloglines!

A BIG congrats to the other DT gals, I was excited to see a few names pop up from people who I already know :) And can't wait to get to know the other gals!


With this house being sooooo sick lately ... I'm STILL not 100% over mine! I was getting very niggley about taking photos after ignoring the camera for a few weeks, so I took out my girl and my camera into our backyard this weekend and got a great bunch of photos of my sweetie pie :)


This is her little 'pose', hands on the hips and fake smile, but I thought it was still cute :) She is sitting on the edge of her trampoline here :)


This one is one we see a bit of, when I ask for a big happy smile but she is feeling like it, she kinda pulls her mouth like this, I think she is trying to force it into a smile, but I'm holding onto these till that 18th birthday party haha!


She was having loads of fun playing with our little dog 'Missy', which was nice for a change :)


And Katie just being Katie in front of the camera with the one eye closed haha.


On the scrappy front, I LOVED creating this one, just enjoying this range of papers, sooooo delish!
