Safe arrival of Lily plus photos :)

The day arrived a wee bit early!!

Well thanks to hubby for updating my blog :) I went into labour at about 6am on Sunday morning and ended popping over to the hospital around 9 to find out if they wanted to send me in for my op earlier. After waiting for what felt like ages, they prepped me up and did the op at 2pm, Lily was born at 2:09pm, battling a bit with her lungs, so she was whipped off to special care after we got some cuddles. She is much smaller than Katie was, totally adorable, but reminds me ALOT of Katie, definately sisters!!

Here we are waiting for Lily to be born :) The operating staff were all just soooo incredibly friendly and fantastic, I couldn't have wished for any better!!

She went off to special care, after my recovery they drove me in their to get some skin to skin contact and breastfeed. She was already doing much better at that stage, but stayed put for a few hours more and joined me in my room around 6pm that night.

This is little Lily the next morning :) Fast asleep, but don't let her fool you, I think I only got about 1 hour sleep that night! not her fault though as she was throwing up mucous and a bit of blood poor thing.


Katie is just IN LOVE with her baby sister and didn't want to share her with ANYONE, she is pretty sick though which makes it ultra tricky as she keeps wanting to kiss and hug Lily.


Little baby Lily 2 days old. Again sleeping during the day after giving me just about no sleep during the night argh!!




And then night 3, she slept like a little angel with only wakeups at 12 for a feed and then at 6am, and she has been a good girl since!!

We just got home this arvo, so I better get off here and get things unpacked etc.

I snapped a few shots of Katie this week, total bribery haha as she really wasn't keen at all! But I got some adorable shots, sooooooo cute and sweet!! Only 1.5 more weeks and I'll have two gorgeous girls to take piccies of :)




And I'll leave you with this Fancy Pants layout I did. I got a big box of yummy goodies and have been having so much fun playing and scrapping!! This is a mix and match of two of the newest rangest, bit of summer soiree and bit of whimsy!!

Easter weekend :)

We had a gorgeous Easter weekend! We had an easter egg hunt at my parents house and Katie totally loved loved loved it! Think we hid the eggs away a few gazzillion times, she wasn't interested in eating her chocolates, she just wanted to keep on finding them over and over again!

I can't help thinking that next year this time, we will be a family of four and a nearly one year old to help us find the eggs!!

Lily's scheduled C-section has been booked for 29 April (which is soooo close to my due date of 3 May that I get nervous thinking about it!!). I expected it to be around the 24th, so have had to add a few days onto my count down!! But they had no room earlier for me, so Wednesday 29 April it is haha. So 15 more days to go :)

Little Birth Gift Box :) - New sketch and layout share :)

I am getting ready for the arrival of Lily and have her bag NEARLY finished. My parents bought me this adorable gift box of clothes which will be Lily's first little outfit after she is born, so these go into the operating theatre with me. Little booties, long pants, long sleeve top, little hat - aren't they soooooo cute!! I see that elephants are the 'in' thing here in Australia on baby girl's clothes this season.

I did a layout, just for the fun of it! YAY! I think it took me about 1.5 weeks to do as I'm really just not scrapping atm, but I loved working with different colours :) and Using up some of my older stash like the Basic Grey Rubon and the Sassafras Lass diecut shapes.


And for those who have been asking sooooo very noicely, I did up a sketch of this layout for anyone who wants to have a play :) Remember you can always have a browse through my sketches here, just remember when sharing your work to give a little mention to the sketch blog, that will be appreciated :)


I am off to the hospital soon, to get myself booked in for the c-section, get a checkup done and chat to the obstiatrician about what I should except and do for the op. So next time I update I should be able to let you all know which day Lily will be joining our family WOOOHOOOO!

I'm teaching an online class, and boy I must have gotten the best behaved class as they are all sooooo busy working that no one is around to chat to the teacher :( haha! Guess that means I get to surf the net and thought I might use the time to update this little old blog of mine.

Last day was my last day at Stamp and Scrapbook Madness, and while it is a HUGE relief to know that I won't be coming home with incredibly sore feet and a sore back, I am seriously going to miss working there!! Thanks to Fiona for giving me the job spot back in June, I had such an awesome fun time helping out with orders and unpacking yummy scrappy boxes and teaching classes!!

But now it is time for me to RELAX, as the last 3 weeks before bub gets born is probably going to just FLY past :)
