Some more quick shares!

Well I have been ultra lucky today as I felt prefectly fine up until 4pm when the nausea and tiredness set in. Which was lucky as we had an awesome funfilled day meeting up with friends at our local park. The kids had a ball even if it was a bit hot out in the full sun. Katie was soooo tired that she fell asleep in the car afterwards, which is very unlike her! So i'm sharing some photos of Katie from the day, and also another layout I scrapped pre-pregnancy that I haven't shared yet.





I have another work day tomorrow so am off to bed early tonight :)

Yay for a weekend!!

This was a verrrry long week for us. Katie started with fever and vomiting on monday, luckily the vomiting settled after a day and a night but the fevers stuck around for 4 days. She is still moody and unlike herself which makes life a bit trickier than normal.

I'm still suffering away! Sunday will take me onto my third month of pregnancy, so hopefully only 1 more month of yuckiness to go and hopefully it will settle down a bit and I can feel a bit more human. I am just taking one day at a time, one hour at a time and sleeping ALOT! Because when i sleep I don't feel nauseas hehe.

Anyways, I still haven't scrapped :( Although today was my first day that I wish I felt okay enough to do so, so I guess that is at least good! So I thought I would share some layouts that apeared in SC a while back (I don't think I've shared them on here yet?) They were all birthday themed and centred around different ways to journal the event :)




The gorgeous Ania, told me about the newly released freebie actions by Totally Rad, I love their actions, in fact I own their first set and use them alot to make my editing easier hehe. There are some interesting ones in there, one that will be fab for boy photos, to 'dirty' the photo up a bit.

My favourites is the Lux freebie. This was the original photo.

Lux at about 60%, see how it just softened and whitened it all out a bit! Can you imagine this action on wedding photos! YUMMMMM! Or even photos with too much colours, nice action to soften it all out!

And a BRILLIANT one to sharpen your photo is the 'slice it like a ninja'. You will see a fantastic improvement on your own screen with your own photos, it just made Katie pop from the background, her eyes are more sharp and it added a bit of light and contrast, LOVE that action. Well worth the quick download if you are an action gal .

The reason behind my absence as of late

We are expecting bub number two. A bit of a suprise bubba as we were trying as such.
I'm due 3 May, but HAVE to have a ceasarian due to previous complications, so bub will be arriving around 2 weeks earlier than that??? i think.

I am feeling totally horrible and struggling with the nausea and exhausting ... which is why I have been avoiding the computer and have NOT scrapped in the last few months!!! I seriously hope that once I feel better my need to scrap comes back full force. Along I'm sure once my fancy pants goodies arrive I will get the itch to scrap away.

I have had a rocky start to the pregnancy with more than a few scares, so am taking it as easy and relaxed as can be.

So hopefully for the scrappers out there I'll have something to share soon, and hopefully for the family out there I'll be able to start sharing preggie photos soon :)

Missing in Action

Hiya ,

Sorry I have been missing in action. I have just not been my normal self, and have been extra busy organising a birthday party for Katie-Lee. So life has just swept by in a big whirl, with NO scrapping happening though doh!


I thought I would pop up and share some photos from the birthday party, which was so much fun. We had a fairy theme, so me and Katie made up this cake using some instructions I got from one of my SnB friends.


This was our table setting, and then we had tonnes of streamers and balloons with fairies on them hanging everywhere (which the wind blew into our face and annoyed us more often than not grrrr)

Happy 100th Sketch Pencillines!!

Pencillines is celebrating their 100th sketch and there is tonnes an d tonnes of inspiration from current as well as past DT members. The sketch has lots of circles :) Here is my version. Pop over to see all the gorgeous work!!



And another layout I can share, this one is for an instore class at Stamp and Scrapbook Madness (Coorparoo in QLD), the first session for this one is running Saturday the 13th. The principle of this one is working with brass stencils. Fiona has tonnes of stencils to choose from, there is a mega cute car one that would work brilliantly for younger boy style layouts. You will be using some inking techniques together with tomobow work and selective glittering, to create a gorgeous totally unique sparkly border for your page!!
