I soooo love scrapping, because of its creative outlet but also because of all the friends I have made online, who I have never met but love chatting too. For me it has meant alot as I never really made friends over in australia after immigrating over from south africa. So I get onto forums 20 times a day (or feels like it) and have a chat, have a laugh or share an online 'hug'.
Sooooo I decide to follow my passion (like millions and probably tooo many others) and open a store. And what happens? I loose ALOT of my friends. I have store owners who always appeared major friendly 'threaten' me with legal action for this or that. So I'm a bit confused and loads sad tonight and feel like closing the store. BUT I don't think that that will get me back to being known as a friendly easy going gal. So I know that that is not the solution.
I'm just a bit sad and very sorry that it has somehow upset some people.
On another note ... trying to get my mind of this store ... we went out and bought an aircon today. I have realized that we rent a HOTHOUSE, it heats up so quick and keeps all the heat so nicely packed inside. So we went and bought a window rattler (which isn't ratteling thx to my dad and hubby :)
It is on now and feeels soooo nice. Just hope it will be able to cope with the dreaded summer.
I haven't shared a LO for a while now ... sorry, so thought I would share an old one of mine.

And when I look at this LO, this is IT, this is why I ventured into the difficult and busy and competitive world of stores, so I can be at home with my gorgeous bubby girl!! But anyhow, enough already lol!!!
I did this LO ages ago for a CC, think we had to use 'chocolate' either as a color or a word something and this is what I came up with.

jolene...so sorry to hear you have experienced some NASTY people...i just dont get that side of SCRAPBOOKING (ive experienced some REALLY NASTY ladies...but you wouldnt know it on the outside) Just stay true...and make sure you everything you do, you do with passion...and have FUN...dont worry about anyone else...
You are a wonderful person...and a wonderful scrapbooker...and i beleive there would be many jealous of you....

I completely agree with Joanne - don't pay attention to those negative vibed people - they obviously have forgotten the reason they opened up their store - because they love scrapbooking and the community - so as Joanne said 'follow your dreams' and make it work, so you can stay home with your beautiful baby girl.
From one store owner to another - I think your store is fab, and the forum is great. I will be a constant chatterbox on your site :-)

So I am not going to be 'one' of those store owners you mentioned. Sometimes they let it go their head. At the end of the day, you are doing it because you love it and that is the main thing. Hang in there chooky...It takes time,but worth the friendships made along the way!

Oh Jolene I just read this post about the nasty threats! That's just awful. You don't deserve it. You have every right to open your own store! You've got my support :)
I'll take you over them anytime my sweet friend! (not that I know who they are...) Don't close your store!
